WORK

I’ve always been a mover, moving through space to score points, to compete, to build, to thin, pushing my body to extremes for sports, travel, and beauty. But recently I’ve been called to move towards presence. To be here, and now. To move in pleasure, by what feels good to me. To move in release - in letting go of the energies that no longer serve me . Alchemizing the past to create a better present, future for myself through every twitch, configuration, and sway.

This piece: WORK is my first piece as movement director. I channel my experience in creating and working from a place of resistance to a space of ease. Working with @eskilllz to bring this life was an experience that helped me find the language for what I’m feeling but also he is someone who could articulate and translate the vision I saw but could not yet accomplish physically. WORK is cyclical and expresses my transition into movement and film and all art forms that come from the world within as its highest exalted form: PLAY
